This exciting tour announcement arrives as Mother Mother shared their new single, “Nobody Escapes”. “In ‘Nobody Escapes,’ we sing cheerily about the indiscriminate nature of death and how, regardless of status, good looks or physique, the reaper comes for us all,” says Guldemond. “The animated video that accompanies our rollicking and blasphemous album opener follows suit, depicting a sinister factory where conveyor belts and machinery crudely sort through freshly fallen souls.”
At the same time, final preparations are being made by Cavetown for the much awaited release of new music in 2024. His most recent tour, Bittersweet Daze, which included mxmtoon, Ricky Montgomery, and grentperez, was his largest to date. It was his first domestic tour since 2022 and it was in promotion of his highly regarded album, Worm Food. The record, which was released in 2020 as the follow-up to Sleepyhead, shot Cavetown to over 4 billion streams globally and received high appreciation from publications including The New York Times, The FADER, NME, V Magazine, and others.
